Other than shoving an unpleasant picture in my face I think these idiots are mostly harmless. While obviously a near total waste of time this is much less harmful to society than it could be. I do find it odd that when they woke up one morning and decided to make the world a ‘less cruel’ place they chose to champion the cause of…fish. Rather than improve the world by starting a business, facilitating education in inner cities or finding some sort of third world handcraft to import they annoy fisherman.
Harmlessly annoying but odd when you think about all of the /people/ in the world they could help. On the plus side fisherman are a pretty relaxed bunch of people with a nice laid back hobby and are therefore uniquely suited to cope with this sort of stress.
Jack you’re missing my point. It’s GOOD that these people waste their time and money. I haven’t done a lot of research on the people behind this. None actually; but if past experience is any guide they’re a bunch of collectivist nutters with little to no respect for personal freedom and individual rights. Assuming that to be the case I rejoice that they’re wasting time on useless, ineffective and silly things. Especially since I don’t fish much This will keep who knows how many misanthropic animists busy with almost nothing. Think about it like this; If these people are busy focusing on the evils of fishing then they won’t have time to interfere with freeway expansions or other useful things.
One of the best augments for legalizing marijuana is that it will keep hippies too stoned to get in the way.
Save your (meat)hooks for the King of Beers and Hot Trailers. Leave the poor dogs and bears alone.
