I hate Socialists

In some European countries it’s very difficult to lay people off. The job security there makes a UAW shop chairmanship seem like high risk. A basic understanding of economics will tell you that this leads to reluctance to hire new workers and a higher unemployment rate. France is running about 15% at the moment. Now read this quote:

If the CPE is enacted, said one young woman, "You'll get a job knowing that you've got to do every single thing they ask you to do because otherwise you may get sacked."

Welcome to the new world order Frenchy. You want it you have to work for it like you wouldn't believe. You can burn as many of your neighbor’s cars as you like. Smash every McDonalds you can find and it won’t do you any good. You still have to compete with people who want to do you job for half what you want to be paid. In the end your ‘La Big Mac’ will cost more to reflect the higher insurance premium and your neighbor will buy a cheaper car from Poland because you burned their nice new Renault.
