Knowing how much all of you like the interaction of economics, cars and politics I decided to write a post on Ethanol anyway. Here’s my take on it. Leave people alone. Markets WORK. They work because a decentralized network of rational actors is much smarter than central planners. When some says ‘the market’ they mean ‘what you get when you let people do what they want.’ Oddly enough that's the most efficient state anyway. If the government gets out of the way and stops messing with things (and this would involve a lot of work) the market will come up with the most efficient way to propel cars from point A to point B. The more governments mess with fuel efficiency through CAFE, strange tax configuration, subsidies and market interference the less efficient the situation will be. Here is a nice editorial on why E85 isn’t that good. Here’s a very brief explanation of why interference with gas sales is bad.
Long story short if we’re left alone we’ll come up with the best solution. ‘experts’ can’t make a better solution than the market can.

I'm still confused, you're just not making any sense.
Why would anyone be bothered by posting something that you don't like. And who said that you speak could speak for the rest of us?

You did when you said, "I bother because Garble posted up something "IN SPITE" of what we like." The ‘we’ part is in the plural, and unless you now have MPD, which I can't rule out, it means that you’re talking for more than one person. If you meant to say I instead of we, than just ignore this and move on.
You can still use "you" and imply everyone on the blog, because he didn't specify who exactly "you" is. And besides asshole, just because I said "we" doesn't mean EVERYONE on the blog, idiot. If one person agrees with me, then the "we" still holds true.
Everything about this post is boring.

Any time I can get people/government to leave me alone its a good thing. It's amazing at how well I work when the universe leaves me alone.
I know it's political Gold when simon buys into the idea.
