Remember when free speech was good?
So her husband's in Iraq with the national reserve and she puts up a yard sign that says "Support the troops." The neighborhood association tags her with a 100$/day fine. They don't allow signs. Eventually the association votes to lower the fine to 1$/day. They do tell her that it will go up if she doesn't take down the sign. This is political speach. It's a perfect example of what the founders had in mind when they wrote, "Shall Make No Law..." Where's the ACLU when you need them.
The home owners association says:
"The problem could arise where it could be a neighbor across the street or across the road that says, 'Bring the troops home. Get out of the theater. Cut and run.' What happens when that occurs? So we cannot make exceptions in this case," he said.

Apparently, the neighborhood Association decides to selectively enforce it's rules. That first news report noted a number of other signs in yards, but the Association's hypocrisy was crystal clear when they stated that "...the rules allow no signs in yards." I say if they're going to allow a handmade piece of crap sign about a 'Bunko' game, then they should allow 'Support our troops'.
Here's a terribly shallow Mike Clark-esque statement, but did anyone notice how 'large' the girl was? I wonder if the sign would've been an issue if she was hot.
Of course she's large. Her husband's gone and she's able to let herself go a little. Plus you know, comfort food.
If there was an Association in your neighborhood, I wonder if they'd allow shooting your neighbor's dogs with BB guns. BWAHAHA
