Accidents happen
This is no shit. So there I was driving west on Silverlake Rd. just past US23 heading west towards Linden when all of a sudden WHAM!!! I run into/over a freaking lawnmower that fell off a trailer heading the other direction. Poor little Hyundai wasn't up to the task of driving over a zero-turn walkbehind. I'm fine but the cat needs a new hood, left front quarter pannel, bumper, headlight bucket, lower control arm, and wheel & tire. But that's only what I can see, there may be more damage than that. That's what the insurance adjuster is for.

Me too, could have been ugly if the mower bounced onto the hood of my car.
I just got the estimate from the repair shop, and they want $5400 to fix it. Turns out that the subframe is damaged too, and at $1089 for the part it's no wonder that it costs so much. On the down side, the 5400 is at about 75% of the KBB value which meant that it might be totaled out by the insurance company.
At least you're okay. Look on the bright side, it's only a Hyundai.
