Maps of War

This map shows how the ‘middle east’ has been conquered over the years. It takes less than two minutes and is pretty cool. It’s apparent to me that as technology has advanced both the speed and scope of conquest has increased. I’d like to think that the development of international trade is in a large part responsible for the establishment of nation states.
