There's nothing funny here

Here is a stumper for you law and order guys. The federal government wants a backdoor into all computer equipment. On one hand this is a horrible invasion of privacy, will slow the pace of advancement and I have no idea what gives the government the right to do this. On the other hand I’m sure that it will only be used to fight terrorism. Okay, it’ll probably also be used to fight pornography, illicit drug paraphernalia, prescription pain killer abuse, and whatever the pet causes of the next democrat to occupy the executive branch is. But that's okay, those are all good causes right? It's not like there's anything better to do with my taxes, like fund the Iraq war or just give them back to me. The closer I get to filing my tax return the less happy I am about government waste. Don't even get me started on bridges in Alaska.
