Please. There hasn't been an Eclipse that is worth the sheet metal it's stamped from since the last GSXT rolled off the assembly line back in '99. Since then they have all been underpowered and overweight. I admit that it looks nice but when the best engine only achieves 210Hp at 6200 RPM, it leaves a bit to be desired.
Actually, it's GSX, not GSXT. I'll admit the 3rd generation Eclipses were under powered, but this generation features a 3.8 V6 making 263 horses and 260 pounds of torque with variable valve timing.
25k for a convertible isn't bad. What was their reputation for warranty costs/JDP? Actually, I can look that up on monday if I have time. Cool. What do you think of the Solstice? It's pretty sweet and starts under under 20. Also, there's a super charged version comming out in another year.

The 2007 is actually 260hp. Read the website. Plus I posted specs for the gs & gt's. In case anybody was wondering.

260 isbn't bad. Have they released pricing on it yet?
No, but I assume it will start around 25,000, like every generation before it.

I think the Solstice is bad ass, it's the best car Pontiac has. According to Pontiac's website, the GXP version is going to be turbocharged.
